First ever minx !! Why?

Hi,

I ve just had my first minx client, a friend to be honest! anyway it took me aout 1.45min to do her hands!!!!! They looked ok when i finished and i put a coat of shellac on the top but really, i can't imagine it being quicker!!! Practice???

Also the second hand when i came to that, the minx kept lifting from the free edge and wouldn't stick? my only thought there was that she had had a sun bed before and used oil. I preped with scurbfresh at the beginning so between doing her first hand she could have touched her face. What do you think? Has this happened to anyone?

Don't panic!!! it is something you get quicker at with practice, my first set of toes took nearly 2 hrs, the second nearly half that, and obviously if you are doing loads you will start working smarter and quicker as with anything else. I don't use minx I use the trendy wraps but i would say your thoughts seem quite plausible. HTH Good luck xx

With Minx on fingers, I have started to 'scrub fresh' each finger as I do it so that there cannot be any oil on the nail. It is so easy to touch the neail and if just a little oil or lotion gets onto the sticky side of the Minx, it will not stick.

If it's lifting from the free edge it's sounds as if you may be stretching the minx to much and as it cools it's pulling back. Hth x
