Hi everyone,

I offer Shellac and Paraffin Wax treatments, but not Bio. On my Shellac Training I was told that if doing Shellac and Paraffin together, the wax is applied after the Shellac. Is this the same with Bio? I have a friend who has Bio but wants me to do a Paraffin Treatment and I just wanted to see if anybody could tell me if one would affect the other in a detrimental way?

Any help will be gratefully recieved!

I always do my paraffin after Shellac and gel enhancements.

Hi,

I use Bio Sculpture and I do the paraffin wax before I do the gel overlay and so far no problems. I do the wax before my prep so by the time I get to the overlay they have had a good cleanse.

That seems like a waste to me. Then you're going to be drying out their cuticles again. The whole idea of paraffin is to moisturize!

I do my paraffin wax on 3 clients before the gel as they all have very swollen joints due to arthritis. By having the wax before the gels it helps them to move their fingers better. We tried before and after but this way works better for them.
