Hi,

I'm looking to integrate some kind of reward scheme into my salon to help retain our clients, as there's so much competition in the area I want to incentivise them to come back without discounting our prices all the time. I've read about reward and loyalty schemes in The Salon Magazine and from a few industry leading business advisers, but not sure how to implement one.

What I've thought about is:
1.) stamp reward cards - which I'm sure my competitors are offering so not super keen
2.) salon software with integrated loyalty points -I've browsed through the providers and seen Salon Advance and Phorest offer these kind of schemes.
3.) Any other ideas??

I'd really appreciate some advise from others in the beauty industry and how they offer alternatives to discounts.

Many Thanks

Hi,

Have you thought about holding an open evening? I held one a few months back and it went really well! I asked clients to bring a friend which helped to bring in new clients at the same time as seeing who my loyal clients are.

I use Salon Advance which has loyalty points and we use it on our services and products. It's good because we used to do 20% discounts when it was quiet but now we just offer double points. That way we are still selling our services at full price but giving our clients an incentive to come in. We don't do offers that often, otherwise I'm worried clients will get used to them and want even bigger offers around Christmas!!!

Otherwise there's loads of stuff on the net about building client loyalty, but if you need a computerised system anyway it's great investment.

Hope that helps!
