Whoopsie, accidentally deleted my previous post here.
These are my attempts at Shellac - I had only done friends and family but had a proper booking from client today who wanted french. It was my first ever french - I know there's room for improvement but please tell me what you think with regards to my polishing, layering, smile lines etc. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!

Any advice for me ladies? What could I improve on? xx
Your polishing is excellent!
The only thing about the french ones, is I can still see your clients free edge, so I would apply the white a teeny bit wider to cover this, or you could use Romantique or Strawberry Smoothie to hide her free edge rather than using Negligee, which is very sheer.

Thank you! I totally agree, I would have liked to cover it more too but was wary of placing it too far down the nail - it's certainly a lesson learnt as I am going to do her ReShellac tomorrow and am sure I will be able to see her free edge. I don't have Strawberry Smoothie or Romantique yet, could you advise me on which is more popular? xxx
Both are very different colours, Romantique is a milky pale pink and Strawberry Smoothie is a frosted pink with full coverage.
If you only have Negligee or even Beau I would apply two coats of that and then the white and go a small bit wider on the white tip and they'll be lovely.

I have to agree with An*Gel. Your polishing is excellent! Beautifully done.
I do see some reveal in the client's own nail in your french application, as An*Gel pointed out. So a wider smile would take care of that. But the overall application is pretty darn good! I use Beau in my french application...nice creamy, rich, pink.
Again, you polish beautifully.

Thank you both very much, I will definitely make the white a little thicker tomorrow when I re-do them as I'm sure they are growing out a lot now. I love the look of strawberry smoothie but is it quite a 'bright' french look? I hadn't looked at beau but now considering it :D xx

Well done, they look lovely. Agree with the other comments but I think you've made a beautiful job of the pink, very neat. I bet she was really pleased x
