Many geeks, both newbies and oldies, forget that we have a wonderful subscription facility available here on Salon Geek.
This enables you to locate your own threads and posts as well as threads and posts of other geeks, without having to "mark" them for later or use the search facility to find exactly what you're looking for.
Please take the time to read this extract from a previous thread about subscriptions, which I have tweaked a little to bring it up to date:
When you create a thread or reply to an existing thread you have the option of subscribing to it, to do this scroll down to where it says Thread Subscription and change it from Do Not Subscribe to No Email Notification, then when you wish to view the threads you've replied to click on Other and scroll down to Subscribed Threads.
When a thread has 'died' and no further replies are being received you can delete the individual subscription by ticking the box to the right on the Settings page and then scroll down to click the delete key.
You can also subscribe to threads that you want to follow but haven't yet participated in.
Once you've opened up the thread you wish to subscribe to click on Thread Tools, then click on Subscribe To This Thread, when the new page opens click on Add Subscription and you'll be taken back to the thread you were viewing.
