My first Shellac- a chip has occured

I did my first shellac on Friday night on my sister, and she has sent me a picture of one which has chipped.

Could anyone give any advice on why this would happen?


I know it shouldn't make a difference, but she is a hairdresser, so has her hands in water/colour most of the day

Any number of reasons a chip can occur. If she is hard on her nails, that could be the cause of chipping. Did she bang or bump her nail? Did she use to pry anything?
