i dropped some wax in a client's eye today, i got a cotton pad and put some oil on it and rubbed it (not hard more dabs) it came off and she was fine but it have my thinking did i do right?

In the eye or on lid?

it was more on her lid as she shut it first near the tear duct

Yes you did the right thing so long as you supported the eye lid and didn't 'drag' it.

hmmm i think i supported the lid but not 100% i did, at least i know that for hopefully not next time thank you, now u have me thinking what do i do if it ever goes on the eye fingers crossed this will never happen as water wouldnt do any good would it :/

I always discuss with the client which hairs I am planning to remove etc, by showing them in the mirror, then place damp pads over the eyes whilst I apply the actual wax. That makes sure they dont open their eyes and that I wont drip any on the eyelid. Then you just take it off at the end to show them the result.
