New set (acrylics)

Ok folks

Here is my first set of sculpted acrylics in 2 years.

They are all CND. I did a glitter fade purple and pink. They are quite thin (thinner than I've ever done) so will see how I go with them although I used to wear stilettos (long ones) before.

They did take me just under 3 hours to do (mostly on my 'wrong' hand) so I don't think its that bad considering.

All critique is welcome.

I like the glitter fade finish. for someone that has been out of acrylic practice for a few years and working on the wrong hand i'd say its perfectly acceptable. I'm usually the same when doing a system on myself.

Straight of the mark I noted 2 main things:

Lower arch/apex - it looks like the form (based on the thumb) was pointing down dramatically - which has give them a 'hooked' appearance and made the apex appear very thick, even though you mention they are thin.

Sidewalls - probably added to by the above but they look quite rounded (bulged at sides)
rather than a nice straight sidewall - very obvious on pinky

Also I would have loved to see the purple 'fade' more gradually..

Overall I do think they are nice and dramatic - I'm sure you'll get a lot of comments :)
