Hello.

I bought a new wax heater (hive 1000cc) and thought I'd try the Perron Rigot wax to go in it (the Cirépil Cristal Océan tin). I have had it on for over an hour to melt for a client but it is still seems really thick. Is this just the wax or could my heater not being reaching the correct max temp (I've had it on the highest setting all this time).

As they are both new I don't know which one it could be?

Trying to show how thick I am talking

That is thick for Cristal Ocean.
I also use the Hive heaters, on the analogue I turn the heater high for about 20 mins and then reduce it back to about a number 3 on the settings.

Some of these heaters do vary and I have one heater that I use it at number 4..
It sounds like your heater thats at fault as the wax would be too thin and too hot at the highest setting...
Hope you get it sorted. Jack
