Avoiding tan on eyebrows/facial hair

Hey guys I'm a 20 year old male and recently started using a 8% DHA tanning lotion, the problem that I have is that even though I try avoid my eyesbrows and my hairline it makes them a little orange, also I have a little facial hair and it always stains that orange as well, am i right in saying applying barrier cream on my eyebrows and facial hair will stop this orange staining?
Also as I'm using a tanning mitt is there a specific way on how to apply the tan on your nose?
