I am a nouveau trained and experienced lash professional, since qualifying in November I am confident and doing fantastic sets in approx 1 hour and 15 mins.

I am still in the rat race, doing a horribly responsible job in the job for long hours and lots of stress, I am really serious now about chucking in my career and hopefully doing lashes full time rather than at the weekend.

problem is because I haven't focused on it full time due to the day job, my client base is still rather small.

so the valuable advise I need is as follows-

what is the best way to grow my client base, ideas?
how do I approach this as may work part time so I still have an income and focus rest of my time on the lashes?
do I go mobile or rent a room in a salon? Which do you think brings in the most business?
Should I set up a website?

I really want to do this, so any advice from lash professionals that are doing well will be superb

thank you so much xxx

I am not a lash pro, but business is business and my wife owns a salon.

I would definitely set up a website.

I would also contact all your local salons hair and beauty that do not offer this service.

We run our salon on a rent a space basis. All our girls are all self employed. We would for example have you in for say a Tuesday/Thursday evening.

If you can hook up with a few salons who are not offering the service you effectively get access to their client base.

This has been great for us and our clients as we have lots of different specialists.

Also you would be surprised how effective it can be to approach companies like call centres anywhere where you have a lot of young female workers. Put together a special package for the company's work force and many company's will allow you to promote your service directly as it makes them look good. They are getting a special deal for their employees.

Anyway a few thoughts for you to consider.

thank you for coming back to me, will take on board your advice x
