I am on the verge of buying a beauty salon but am wondering how I can introduce a complete range of skincare, as there isn't any in place at the moment. The salon focuses on nails and tanning only. I am thinking of doing this gently; learning the ropes, getting to know the staff etc. for the first few months before going ahead but not sure how this would impact on the day to day running/staff of the salon. Not even sure how the staff would feel as I get the impression they are happy with their lot and no-one likes change. Anyone any comments please?
Also has anyone bought a salon and then changed the name. I am unsure whether to leave the name (been the same for about 20 years before)? Feel I want to change it completely to highlight the change of management, new treatments etc.
