Still waiting for my Shellac from America, I'm now considering buy Gelish tomorrow, I'd like to know if the gel is a lot thicker than the shellac and does it last as long? :)

I offer Gelish and it is amazing, all my clients love it lasts up to 3 weeks even 4! (with a lot of regrowth). I can't comment on Shellac as i've not used it but I have client's who have and they find Gelish harder wearing.
Loads of amazing colours and an LED Lamp which is Fab. HTH :D x

May I ask why you are purchasing Shellac from USA eBay, rather than Sweet Squared / distribution partners or Ellisons? X
I have used both, but gelish is a gel polish and shellac is a hybrid polish.
I find my clients get longer wear from gelish but gelish takes a lot longer to soak off.
Gelish is thinner than shellac. Both easy to apply.
I offer both systems then the client can choose.
Oh gelish offer a structure gel which helps for the clients with weaker nails, but can't see why you cant use it with shellac. I've used the iz gel from calgel for added strength but it's way too expensive so trying the gelish structure one out.

I was advised by a nail technician that shellac was American so after some research I found a supplier who could sell the polish in question for $9 so I ordered a few colours with top&base coat...it's only since reading on here that I've found out where I could buy the shellac from!! :)

For $9 i'm very afraid you are going to get a fake product:/

Wow that's cheap! Definitely fake. I'd doubt that's even cost price... Don't be put off Shellac because of a bad experience with a bad seller though :)
There are Shellac distributors (physical shops) all over the UK. You could telephone Sweet Squared and ask where your nearest distributer is? That could allow you to purchase tomorrow x

That's so annoying eBay could allow this to happen, I'm going to complain tomorrow, see if I can get my money back and contact the relevant people here...thanks everyone for your feedback xx :)
