I was just wondering if anyone could tell me why im getting small air bubbles in my acrylics? not every nail just had them on a couple!??
Hi are you "burping" the brush I think it's called meaning in acrylic liquid fully submersing the brush in the liquid and pushing it down flat to release all the air from the brush before using it? (hope I've explained it ok) :-) x

Letting the bead settle helps with bubbles. Pick up your bead, place it on the nail and count to three, then start to push and stroke it into place. Do not pat it! Push and stroke. See if that helps :) xxxx
The biggest cause of bubbles in your work is over -wiping your brush between beads. Try not to wipe back and forth between the beads you make. It should only be necessary to do a gentle wipe if there is any residue left on your brush not back and forth and back and forth; some get into a very bad habit of dong this between every bead.
Next cause of bubbles is over-working the bead; placing the bead on the nail and then launching in and pat pat patting it excessively. Place your bead, take a deep breath and let the bead settle down and then press and pack into place nice and firm before smoothing very lightly over the top.
And finally, as mentioned by others, make sure at the start of your work, that there is no air trapped in your brush, by gently spreading the hairs out in your dappen dish and fully saturating the brush with liquid (you can quite clearly see hundreds of tiny air bubbles rising to the surface of your liquid when you do this); when you no longer see them rising to the surface you are good to get started once you have removed the excess liquid from the brush.
