Help toning golden blonde roots to white-ish ash blonde!

I coloured my friends hair the other day she normally has bleach foils but her hair has become very dry so I tried a highlift tint instead, I used a 12/89 with 12% peroxide but the roots are more of a golden blonde rather than a clean ash blonde can anyone recommend something to correct this, it isn't really yellow and not really noticeable but once it's pointed out you can tell, help would be greatly appreciated, that you

I think I'd probably put a few bleach foils with a low developer through just to blend through whilst a lot of the bleached ends grow out. I think this may be the only way for now and just tell your friend to do conditioning treatments once or twice a week.
