View Full Version : Tanning/Nails Salon - software advice please!
Wondered if anyone could advise me on the best type of software for a salon with 3 vertical tanning units, spray tanning room and a nail station. We also rent space out to mobile therapists who need appointments to be made for them. I guess we may also expand at some point so need something that can grow with us!! Thank you xx
You need to ensure you get a software that allows you to book rooms [as appose to just staff] and that will allow auto add on any additional time required. [ie. a 15 minute spray tan, may need a 30 or 45 min booking to allow for the client to get dressed and cleaning.]
Also look at the cost of growing the salon in the future, are you going to be stung with heavy charges of maintenance contracts?
Ensure the software manages courses as well, and point of sales.
Most reputable software will manage this ok.

You might want to check out You'reOnTime - Affordable and Easy to Use (http://www.youreontime.com).
As ssuk says those features are important. You'reOnTime has a feature called 'resources', which are basically rooms, beds or whatever. It also has 'processing time' which is additional time you can add to the appointment.

SoftBooking has the same feature, additional time can be added to an appointment slot by the software, and time slots can be manual adjusted, if for example you know a particular client needs more time than the 'standard' slot.
It also manages courses well and does all standard 'booking system' things. The price is low and there are no monthly or annual fees.
