Hi I'm new to salon geek, and I am currently looking for a new hair supplier for pre bonded and micro ring hair extensions. After doing a bit of research last night I was wondering if anyone uses Hair Planet? I have requested a free sample but would like to know how the hair lasts etc. And if there is any other good but reasonably priced hair suppliers that anyone recommends? Thanks :-)

There are so many to choose from!! if you search on here there is a great thread about suppliers - in the kind of budget range your mentioning I use Lush Us for this then celebrity elite and balmain for mid range then tasha jacks for my superior range xx

I adore hair planet. I fitted my first full head of their hair 6months ago, and have not ordered from anywhere else since.
Assuming your clients use all the correct aftercare products, they easily last 3+ months with re-bonding in between. The hair is always in a good condition when I remove them so could easily be re-used x

Aw great thanks people! They're sending me out a sample so I will go from there! I do already use lush us but needing a new supplier. I am also trained in cinderella which I LOVE, but I find a lot of clients are going for budget hair now :-(.

Hi, sorry to jump on this thread but can anyone tell me what removal of these were like? I don't usually use them but did a trial on a client and she loves them, now wants them removed and re bonded -unsure how easy they are to remove? And do you use standard acetone as I know some like foxy require other removers thanks x

We fitted a set of their 'russian' 1g double drawn 2 days ago.
First packet was great - thick full strands, second packet just dreadful well over half of the 50 were so thin they were just not usable

Iv just had some Russian hair delivered from hairport by valentine, gonna fit it for my mum for Xmas, looks and feels great, 100s 1g 18" stick tip, ill let everyone know how it holds up :irked:
I had some hair planet hair fitted in my own hair sept/oct time and it was amazing really good quality tbf i could have probs re used it when it was out, found it much much better than lush us 60. I still use lush us though as all thses posts about how bad hair planet have been is scaring me to try again x

I find their hair really thin, the 0.8g is more like 0.5 and comes in pk of 20 so you need to order more packets. It's cheap Remy hair, the Russian range is awful I've seen if on people who have come to me and I've shown them real Russian hair. I find the bonds are very tacky, hard to role (I'm use to working with real Italian keratin) the bonds don't go hard and I find they are or own to slippage.

i have been using hair planet almost exclusively this year and have only had 1 problem and that was with weft shedding. i have never found them thin and my girls have all got around 12-16 weeks out of each set when they have been diligent about aftercare and maintenance appointments, also never had a problem with slippage, i have had the bonds soften on a few girls but turned out they werent rinsing their hair too well and one was holding the hairdrier over them for too long.
i have just removed and replaced one client who was wearing colours 2 and 4 in pre bonded that were still silky after 4 months, but she wanted new fresh hair instead of total re-bonding. i feel for a budget range it is good, much prefer it to lush-us and foxy tbh but i haven't tried the likes of sjk or blush-be yet.
All just my opinion, there have been a lot of people had problems a few months ago as recorded on SG but luckily i havent been one of them! x
note: prior the this year i had been mainly using lush-us for budget hair but found the quality dropped dramatically however i havent used them since their re-branding recently x
