I'm guessing you might be newly qualified as your prices are quite low. Don't undersell yourself ... you are a qualified therapist and have paid for your training and paid out a lot of money for products and equipment. You deserve to be paid what you are worth.
Also it is very difficult to suddenly bump up the price. I suggest you increase your prices (have a look at local salons and see what they're charging) You could offer a special offer for the first month, say 20% off, to get a clientelle.
Of course being mobile you also have your travel time and fuel costs so I repeat, don't undersell yourself!
Good luck!

hi, as a mobie myself i would suggest that you consider your travel time and cost, you could find yourself with just an eyelash tint and having to travel there and back and treatment time for just £7,

Its difficult to comment on how relevant your prices are because prices vary greatly depending on what area of the country you are in, and what the immediate area surrounding your salon is like. People always think my prices are too cheap but they are about average for the area, if I tried to charge what some other salons charge I wouldnt have any customers at all.
Regarding your prices, I agree that some of them seem a little low, e.g £15 for a luxury manicure is very cheap. Have you checked with your local competitors to see what everyone else is charging?
Hope you dont mind me saying but I noticed that some information on your price list is a little confusing and might just need a bit more info adding to make it more clear. For example, what is your basic manicure? How is it different from the luxury mani? Perhaps just give a brief description of the service so people know what they are paying for. Also regarding your gelish prices, you give a price for a Gelish manicure, then a price for a gelish + basic mani, then gelish + luxury mani. Your customer might not understand what the difference is between a gelish mani and a gelish _ basic mani. I would give a bit more detail so the customer knows what they are getting, I also think that you are practically giving away the basic/luxury mani on top of your gelish, I would charge a bit more for that. Personally I dont offer combined treatments on my price list, there is a price for Shellac (I dont do gelish) and a separate price for a mani, and if they want both I might make it look like I'm doing them a favour by giving them £5 off but I certainly dont discount the prices too heavily.

I am mobile and my prices are maybe £5 less than the average of salons local to me for acrylics/gels/mani/pedi but things like waxing and shellac and facials I still charge at a full salon price. Same with tanning. Its only certain treats I charge less for.
BUT i state on my facebookpage and my price lists that minimum spend is £15 and anywhere outside my local area I add a fuel charge of 25p per mile.
TBH although I've been advertising online and been doing leaflet drops I've not had a lot of clients. Really think I need to kick a**e once i have this baby!
Is it the trend in the uk to charge less for mobile than salons. Here in oz we charge more for mobile or the same. Realistically you may not have salon rent electricity etc. But your offering a service that gives the client flexibility. Still trying to get my head around conversion rates. We work on the $1 per minute rule at least. So pedi takes a hr it's $60.

Well I charge an average of the salons around me. Some are more expensive, some are stupidly cheap. Generally I charge about £20-£30 per hour depending on treatment. x

Thank you for all the replies. I have been qualified for about 3 years but only just getting in to mobile as iv got a full time non beauty job. I have collected a few price lists over the last week from salons around my area and they are so cheap. I thought I might be charging to much! One salon charges £3 for an eyebrow tint and £20 for a deluxe facial! Most of them are around the same price. I will explain more about the basic/luxury mani and pedi.
Is £22 ok for gelish. Just cuticle work etc?

You just reminded me I need to put patch test required on my price list! Do you do 2 trips to their house and does it end up costing you more in petrol or do you work other clients around it x

If you can work around it then brill but sometimes you have to just go out to do that. Try pop in even if your on your way out. I also mention tinting to all clients & say if they think they will ever want it done in near future I can do a test whilst I'm there. Saves you both a lot of hassle x

£3 for an eyebrow tint?! Crazy!
I'd definitely have average prices but whilst establishing yourself offer promotions. That way it won't come as a shock to clients when prices have to go up. There was another thread on here not long ago about a lady who put her prices up maybe by a pound - £5 which customers didn't like..
It's a very fine line of making a good profit (especially being mobile with fuel costs etc), being able to pay for supplies and having a good quality/price ratio that makes clients want to receive your services, and not a £3 eyebrow tint!
How can you make money if your just doing a tint? I won't do mobile for under a set amount. Admittedly where I work mobile may be 100km drive I charge time in car as travel then minimum 2 massages so $180. I do have a clinic though so mobile is second to main income. I wouldn't travel to do treatments under $50 ie waxing etc in same town I live in. We charge $15 for a tint. It takes 5-10 mins in salon but mobile it could take 40 mins getting there setting up etc.

I think if you have a minimum and say no to 'just doing a tint' then clients will get very peed off. I would anyway. It may be only a tint this visit but they will more than likely book more treatments in future x

Yeah, that's why I thought I might be too dear, the salons around where I live are very cheap! I don't no how this particular salon makes any money as most of their prices are very low. Their manicure with opi products is £15 and so are gel overlays X

If I was you I would charge more for pedi thAn mani too, it takes longer and usually requires. MOre work with hard skin removal etc x
I would reconsider your manicure/pedicure prices and think about charging slightly more especially the luxury treatments, being mobile you need to take into account the time it takes to travel and set up then do the treatment aswell as fuel and product costs. How can that salon be making a profit?! I was mobile using OPI products and charged £18 for basic manicure £25 for luxury / £22 for basic pedicure £29 for luxury. If you undersell yourself people may think you are using cheap products or are not as good and you will find it harder in the long run to put your prices up. I used to run offers which got the clients in, you would get the odd few who just wanted a bargain and would continue going to their usual salon after but more would be repeat business as they know they are getting a high quality treatment with good products so maybe it's worth doing an introductory offer to start off with and see how you get on.
And it's definitely worth explaining the treatments a bit on your price lists and any brand products you use to entice clients aswell as patch test requirements for tinting!
Good luck!
