Hi All

I am considering doing some training with bio sculpture, just a few questions id like to ask, how have people found the training with them were they efficient? also for people who do extensions with bio are they good and do they stay on well?

Thanks

Hi I'm trained in CND l&p, Brisa and Biosculpture.

Now that Shellac's on the scene I dont use Bio any more. I only used to use it for NNO because tip & overlay with bio isnt very durable, and now my bio NNO clients all like to have Shellac. I actually cant remember the last time I did some bio nails.

Re training, it's average in my opinion. The trainer didnt seem too knowledgeable, for instance we were using a "pumice" to exfoliate the nail which seemed rougher than a 240 grit to me and the tutor didnt know the grit of the pumice, and couldnt relate to the fact that you shouldnt use rougher than a 240 grit on natural nails. she also kept telling us that biosculpture isnt acrylic, which is false. Eventually I got fed up of her telling us that bio is not an acrylic therefore doesnt damage the nails so I asked her what is it made out of then. She was stumped, then read the ingredients on the pot and said "its made out of acrylate"!!!!!!:grr:

I also didnt like the fact that your training hand was a rubber glove which you were asked to fill with rice, tie with a rubber band, and glue tips onto the fingers. Not a very professional approach in my opinion.

Despite my bugbears with the training I stuck with it because the product is good, and I wanted to be able to offer it because at that time there was no other product on the market like it, but now that Shellac's here people want that instead and aren't interested in Bio any more, also Bio is a very expensive product to buy.

Thanks for that chelle!! I think I'll be sticking to shellac for natural nail clients I don't do half as much extensions now since shellac came on the scene! i'm happy with CND just getting itchy fingers and wanted to expand i'll maybe look at training in other areas -maybe hd brows next!!

I do bio sculpture and trained in NSI gel but only do bio, if given the choice I would go for bio or shellac, I must admit I don't do many nails but my customers who I do are all asking about shellac. X

I do LnP, Brisa, Shellac.. I want to appeal to everyone, researched Bio, loved it.. Booked on training, although training quality was poor (compared to CND) I love the product... Some of my Shellac clients have changed to Bio... The price is comparison isn't that much difference, but yes haven't looked back since xx

Ah well bio would be a good one to add, I love it so much and may be better suited to some clients while shellac will suit others, after help not so great! Thank goodness for this site is all I will say :) x x

I trained with Bio Sculpture & would highly recommend them. I am finding that a lot of clients are trying Shellac to begin with and like the concept that it soaks off, but they are finding that Shellac isnt strong enough & they need extra strength because either their nails are flakey or just unsuitable for Shellac. I'm ever so glad Shellac got invented because now more & more people are going with Bio Sculpture just like loads of celebrities .... loving the Ying Yang ones Katy Perry is wearing at the moment :
