Hi I have to chose between thesetwo for my college options but i can't decide which tp chose. Which is seen as more beneficial in a salon environment and also which would be easier to learn through a seperate course? any help would be great x

I would say that hot stone massage is more popular and used in more salons. Think it will probably make you more attractive to prospective employers (if that is the working route you intend to take)
On the other hand some of the movements from IHM can be used in facials etc to enhance the trt but if I had to make a choice, hot stone

Not done hot stone massage but Indian head massage is quite easy to learn and great for mobile or parties so hot stone massage would more likely be the best choice for salon demand

I would also say go for hot stone hun. You could always do an IHM course later on if you wanted to as I would say if you have good massage skills picked up from the hot stones course you would then pick up IHM techniques quite quickly. And I'm sure an IHM course would be cheaper than a Hot stones massage course if you wanted to get a further qualification down the line. HTH :D x

As others have said, I think it's easy to do IHM as a separate thing and for that reason, I would go for hot stones for now and then do IHM as a separate level three course.

They are ultimately both worth learning but I recommend doing IHM because I think it's harder to find hot stones as a stand alone course.

I would go for the pre blended massage - if your going to be spending a long time learning a technquie i would do that! - you are then spending your time learning indepth full body massage, you can then add on skills like hot stones on day courses!

thats the way i did it! i then had a really good basis of massage to build up skills!

also - to contradict everyone - i do hardly any hot stones compared to manual massage, (prob coz more expensive) and i also do a LOT of indian head as i offer it as part of my facials! (Like to make my facials extra special x

Preblended massage is massage using preblended aromatherapy oils, you would be better off doing a proper Aromatherapy course later on if aromatherapy tickles your fancy (IMO) x
