View Full Version : Lash extentions-your routine?
I did my lash extention course on monday which was pretty poor as there was an odd number of students (we wasn't allowed models and I was the one who turned up without a 'buddy' on the course!) so I only got to apply about 5 lashes!
I have done two sets now but don't really know how the best way to go about doing a set is. I was told to start using the smallest lashes and working from the outside in, lash the baby ones then go back out and add some bigger ones but I can of feel like I'm just adding lashes randomly when I get to the bigger ones.
What is your approach when doing a set? Where do you start and with what size etc?

Who did you train with?
I would suggest you go back to your trainer and explain your issues. Everybody has different ways of applying and you tweak bits as you go, but to come away from a course and not really know what your doing is really bad.

I don't really want to say which company it was on the open forum but it's not some back street brand if you know what I mean :)
I understand how to apply the lashes and everything, I'm just not sure their order of application is the most effective/quickest way? Maybe I am wrong, I was just interested to know how others work.

Hello
Did my course a few months ago I start by measuring the lashes, start in the middle and do 1 lash them go to the other eye and back and forth filling in as I go
The other poster is right you do tweak as you go and do what you find is better and go back to your trainer
I do 1 lash on 1 eye then the other to ensure glue is fully dry and I can see where I'm going HTH x

I agree with Miss Pink completely, go back to your trainer, explain your concerns. If it was a large group being taught you may have missed vital pieces of information, which also may not have been taught!
One thing I would say straight away is that you do not lash the baby lashes, this is imperative, you do not want to compromise the natural growth cycle of the lash.
I would hope that most training providers for lashes explain about setting out your skeleton for lashes, to create the desired effect, Your trainer should be there for you after your course, so contact her, ask for help, I'm sure they will be able to help.
