With the summer hols upon us and with us all being inundated with Carpet Sharks again for 6 weeks I was just wondering if anyone on here did Geocaching?

In case you're wondering Geocaching is basially a GPS based "treasure hunt" where people leave "caches" all over the world and you go out and find them hidden all over the show!

It'll work off a GPS device like your Iphone or Blackberry- you just need to download the app.

Wherever you are, they'll be one round the corner from you now :)

Whats more, it's an excuse to trick moody kids into going for a nice walk in the countryside as they get to play a game at the same time.

So, just thought I'd put it out there in case anyone was already tearing their hair out and didn't want to spend a fortune on keeping the kids (and other-halves!) amused.

I never thought I'd like it. But it's a great way to have an explore of places. We went to Cyprus a few weeks ago and did it there when we were looking for something to do one afternoon- it's all over the world!

We just trapse around with an Iphone and its a free day out :)

There's a really weird (I must be sad) sense of achievement as you find the harder ones!.....we even bought a special traceable one for my little 'un to track around the world as different people pick it up and drop it off in different places.

Yeah- im almost sure there's an andriod app as well.
