I have a client booked in this evening for a spray tan, however she text me last night saying she got a bit sunburnt and was she still able to have the tan (she still wants one) I asked her how bad it was and she said she's just a bit pink but the front of her legs are a bit sore.
I told her to get back to me this morning and let me know how they are and we would take it from there!
I'm thinking of not tanning if... they're still a bit tender, then she wouldn't have been able to exfoliate properly, which will effect the outcome of the tan. If burnt, chances are that they will peel, which would peel the spray tan too and if they don't peel then they may go dry and cracked :-/
Is there anything else I need to think of?
Thanks :)

Thanks Collin, what if she's not sore and just a little pink? Would you still say to avoid? X

You really are best to leave this treatment until such time as her skin has fully recovered from any sunburn...if she is still sore that means her skin is still damaged,if it is pink then its going through the healing process so still best to avaoid...let the skin heal fully...it recovers very quickly so a few days waiting isnt going to hurt...whereas applying any solution to damaged skin just might

I would agree with Collin on this one, not only the fact that she could not have exfoliated properly but also the peeling afterwards will really mess her tan up during the fade off. To be honest, I would wait probably about a week so that if she does peel the worst will be over and then you can tan her when her skin has recovered to some semblance of normality. She will probably also be applying lots of moisturisers which can act as a barrier to the tan if she does not use suitable ones.
Silly girl getting sunburnt like that but you cant blame her I suppose, the sun surprised us all.LOL
