Nervous - trade test this evening!

Hi,

I've got a trade test this evening at a local salon. I've to do a full set of lashes - fine I've done plenty, but I've also to do a brazilian wax. I'm really nervous about this!! I've done one in training, and one in practice so I haven't lots of experience of it, however the salon manager knows this.

So what is a trade test like - do they stand over you watching everything you do?

Also any tips for me??x

Just be yourself and don't panic. It'll be fine if she knows you've not done many brazilians then she won't expect you to be perfect. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

I ended up practicing with my hot wax last night. Giving yourself a bikini wax isn't as easy haha!!

Thanks! I felt a bit better once I'd had a couple of applications on myself....just remembering the consistency of the wax etc.

I've never done a trade test so can't offer any advice, just wanted to say good luck. I'm sure you'll rock it!

I got on fine! Did 2 sets of lashes and the boss was v impressed. And I did a brazilian wax which went fine - esp since the girl hadn't had one done so that actually made it easier.

Whoops I should have mentioned the most important part - job is mine if I want it so I'm taking it. She's giving me really flexible hours, plus she wants me to concentrate and specialise in the things I like best which are the lashes, brows, waxing and nails! I'm excited!!
