Hi,
Hope everyones enjoying this lovely weather!
I did do a search for an answer to my question but couldn't see one. My apologies if I missed it.
I'm doing a repair on a clients enhancement this evening. She's got a chip on the sidewall but on the free edge (just below where the tip of the smile line would be) of her enhancement. It would appear from the picture she sent that I will only need to put a bead of product there, with a form to help keep product from touching her skin and then file to blend in etc. The clients has opted for natural nails so I've not got to sort out the smile line. Would this be the correct procedure or not? Wasn't sure if I should maybe file away some of the old enhancement before placing product on the chip.... Sorry for a rather basic question...Just coming back to nails after a long time away :) Many thanks

Personally, I would file down the old gel and smooth and level is out, like you would an infill. Then just carry on with gel on top.

I'd file out the chipped area, then reapply product there using a little bead :)
Make sure to blend it in to the rest... then proceed with maintenance as usual.
