Building a toenail with gel

I have a client coming next week who has no nail on one of her big toes, and a damaged big toenail on the other foot. She is looking to have something built to make a toenail. I'm aware that a nail can be created with L&P but I'm only trained in gel. Can anyone please advise if a nail can be built with gel directly onto the skin, and if so how would I do this?

If not then what would you advise would be the best??

I'm sure I've seen Geeg suggest creating it on a form then use Gelbond to adhere *goes to look for thread*
