Hi posted a couple weeks ago asking about how to get pastel hair either lilac or pale pink..

To cut a long story short I eventually went for it and had a go putting some lilac in my ends and I love it..

However I only used la riche directions to experiment with as knew it doesn't last long and wanted to check I even liked it before going for something that would last.

My only problem now is I need to find something a little more permanent as I've only washed it 3 times and it's already faded loads
We use wella and to my knowledge they don't do the colour I'm after so was wanting to know if anyone can tell me what to use I believe matrix do pastel shades? Can someone tell me exactly what I'd need to get and how to use etc. and if anyone has any pics of when they've used it themselves would be great!

Alsooo (sorry for going on..) My blonde just still isn't the light silver colour i wanted is it going to just be a case of bleach bathing my mid lengths n ends again and then bleaching my roots.. then toning? Does anyone have any tips for what they do and pics of the results?

Thanks :D xx

If your hair isn't knackered and porous it wong last long....but then again if it porous if comes out too so it's a bit of a catch 22 but I use either 10p and 8p in sync or 10a 10v x

9/60 in wella illumina will give you a lavender / Lilac colour on top of blonde even though it I permanent it won't last too long as the pastel shades don't. If you havent got illumina yet use 30ml 10/96 with 1ml 0/66 mix in koleston .Hope this helps - edit just realised I put 12 instead of 10 and grumpy blue rinse had a heart attack lol

Brilliant idea to tone with highlift tint....where the levels of ammonia are like Sky rockets!! Your clients hair will be like chewing gum!

Hair will be fine. Tone with 1.9% old grumpy here always has something to say.

You carry on....don't come to me when your clients sue your ass off!! for using a product that's not designed to be used for toning!

Could you not use 10/96?

That's what I'd suggest with 8/96

Definately do NOT use a high lift as a toner! The 12s have to stay on for 45 mins to work properly (30mins lift, 15 mins tone)
Unless your client is after the frazzled mess look of course :)

This is one I done today.
Bleach up and then toned with /00 and /06 relights 1 to 2.

Only mistake was that I needed some post conditioner to even out porosity has it came out uneven. I had to remove the tone around hair line, has it had taken a really pink.

she wanted a clean white blonde with hint of pastel pink . Which still really didn't achieve. Think I should have toned it first to the white blonde and put in fine streaks in. Cause she wants the blonde cleaner white.

Picture doesn't really show much tone! But in real it does
I will get there one day!!
