i wasn't trained to at college or on an intimate waxing course (which was quite a few years ago) i just sanitise my hands before and after i would imagine the gloves would get sticky with the wax, however when i do laser hair treatments i wear gloves

Yes I wear gloves for all waxing treatments.
I too wear gloves for all waxing treatments. Usually black nitrile gloves.

I wear gloves most of the time, but honestly for some services it's play by ear. There are some times in certain services while personal protection is valued that you have to weigh in on client comfort due to the fact of some gloves having the habit of sticking to the wax and pulling the skin. If you are. A messy waxer and not really comfortable in your waxing technique you will be less likely to wax comfortably with gloves. While a more seasoned waxer who has had practice and can cleanly control the wax better will more then likely be able to give a more efficient service with gloves.

Hi Fozzyo, where do you get your black nitrile gloves from and are they quite thick? Thanks.

I always wear gloves......nitrile ones. I think it looks more professional, instils hygiene confidence in client and, most importantly for me (!) its easier to change a glove if you get wax on it than try and get the darn stuff off your hand!!:wink2:

I get BodyGuards ones from Brosch Direct. Best place for gloves they have them all.

I wear gloves all the time for waxing. I wear them for intimate, under arms and nostrils for hygiene but I find myself putting gloves on as my client walks in regardless, so I end up wearing gloves for all waxing.
The trick is to buy them a size too small so that it feels like a second skin and they don't bother you.
If I go from waxing below the neck then up to their face, it's difficult to get new gloves on as your hands will be hot and sticky, so I cleanse my gloved hands with anti bac gel.
Obviously I put new gloves on for each client. HTH's x
