Hello all,

I was just wondering what waxing products you all use and what make your wax pot is?

I currently use hive products and have eggpot wax heater, but this seems to take a really long time to heat up the wax and I am considering setting up a mobile business.

I need a good wax heater if you have any recommendations?
And also, what are your thoughts on hive products?

Thanks in advance

Hi Natalie,

I have always used Hive wax pots ; both the analogue and the newer digital heaters. I do much prefer the analogue versions as I find these more consistent with temperature control than the digital ones plus I find the style more practical and durable. Also you can use timers with the analogue versions which you cant do with the digital versions.

I use a range of waxes from Perron Rigot , which are very good quality waxes, although there are a few high end wax brands which are equally as good in terms of quality and are similar in cost. I always think its a good idea to get a few samples of waxes and try them out for yourself and see which work best. Perron run a "Discovery" day where you can try most of the waxes in their range and see which you prefer, I know they run these in London and the Midlands so not sure if thats an option for you?

I always use Hive heaters but I recently purchased exactly the same heaters without a brand on them and they were £20 cheaper.

Google 1000cc digital heaters and compare them.

I have a double heater in the room and single 1000cc digital heaters for being out and about and they work a treat.
