Is it possible to use shellac base coat add minx and then use shellac top coat? Will it hold? Thanks

I don't think it would be necessary to use shellac base coat under minx. They are not designed to be used together.. Minx is heat activated and to get proper adhesion needs to be warmed under a heat lamp before application. I've heard of people applying topcoat to minx on fingers to have them last longer tho

Yes you can use Shellac top coat to make Minx last longer on fingers. base coat will not be necessary as Minx is designed to stick to the nail plate when heated, base coat would render this pointless. I haven't tried this as I've only done it on toes and it's not necessary as they last until you decide to remove them.

You're in the skin geek by the way but I'm sure this will get moved by a mod ;)

Sorry to hijack but I thought you could use a shellac basecoat under minx for clients that have uneven nails to give the minx a smoother surface to go on? Or is this wrong?
