I have been doing this clients hair for about a year now.
She used to do her own colour and I was just cutting it for her.
She is 100% white and the box colour she used was about base7 or 8.
She then decided she did not want to use any more colours on her scalp (she fussy about fumes and has few health problems), and asked me if I could do a few highlights. I did a few bleach to break up her colour and she loved them. Only thing is the colour is now gone completely and I have been putting a mix of highlights and lowlights through and to prevent it from looking too "white".
She loves this as no colour on her scalp.
Thing is, she is not happy with colour as its not "stripy" enough (her words).
She has short layered cut, all brushed back on top iykwim.
I don't think she knows what she wants re colour and I'm stuck with what to do next:Scared:
I have to go over for consultation in the morning (shes a neighbour) and I'm freaked cause I don't know what to do or advise.
Help please anyone?

btw she is also bit strange and I don't want to take ANY chances xxx

Put a barrier cream on her scalp and paint actual stripes In going back, if that's what she wants that's why she will get haha xoxo

Thanks Blue, she is a right pita alright:lol:
Last time (about 4 weeks ago) I asked her to show me a pic and she didn't.
I spent forever on net that eve looking for pics of white hair with colour and none of them were what she wanted.
I have a feeling that she wants it still to look like all over tint but with highlights and few grey going through it too!!
I swear to God, I'm shaking like a leaf here at the thoughts of going over. She is also travelling abroad for wedding at weekend and is worked up about it for ages. Its fair enough to tell her that I don't know exactly what she wants unless I see a pic of something similar isn't it? My head is fried with this one. tg for salongeek:hug:

On serious note like blue said ask her for pics. Or maybe find some where te highlights are chunky and do leave stripes to see if that's what she wants xoxo

Is it about us being happy or the client though? I know they are our walking advertisement but if there isn't a smile on their face or a isn't it lovley I'm really happy with it then it's not a good advertisement. I think what she sounds to want is really chunky highlights, try using your fingers to pick out the highlights if it's short and that will make them chunky (what 5mm wide ones would look like on long hair xoxo
