I've recently bought a salon. I'm only 18 so this was a big risk. I am so excited!! On Sunday I had a launch party which was brilliant and very busy. I offered 25% every appointment that was booked at the open day. I got quite a few bookings. I was wondering if anyone has any themed days and do they boost custom. Maybe have a charity event? Thankyou x

Best of luck with the new salon.
It's great to hear someone starting out full of enthusiasm.

Congratulations and well done on your launch.

Try to come up with something thats unique for you and not copying other salons, today I witnessed a war on facebook that I found hilarious ot was between 3 salons, they were all bidding against each other in who can do half head highlights the cheapest... in the end it was just embarassing and overkill

People don't like to be badgered to death, so when you are doing your marketing and public relations ensure your not coming across as desperate but always be grateful for every customer that walks through the door, even if you wish the awkward ones would sometimes walk back out! ;)

Hiya and congratulations!

I was 18 when starting my business so know exactly what its like! You will have stressful days but keep plodding on.

Something for charity can be nice but don't worry about too much of 'gimmicks' as such. Loyalty cards always work well and ensures return business and the odd special offer will see you through the tough times.

If you need any free marketing advice just ask away :)
