Hello everyone
I really need to buy a mag lamp for facials, waxing and eyelash extensions in particular. I'm doing manicures but haven't done further nail courses as yet. I'm confused about the LED versus 22W or naturalight ones. Can you please tell me what you think is best? Which one did you choose and are you happy with it?

thank you
Cindy

For my facials I am waiting for the new Bio-Therapeutic bt-Zoom magnifier to come out in the UK. It is a small hand held magnifier with 5x magnification, 8 white LED's and also 4 black light UV led's for assisting with skin diagnosis.

I like the idea that it is much easier to move around the face with, you can use the UV if you want (in a darkened room) and is much less bulky and blinding then a huge magnifier.

skin care - BT-GEAR - Bio-Therapeutic (http://www.bio-therapeutic.com/bt-Gear.htm)

But I am also a bit a a bt-Gear fanboy, I have the Analyze and am planning on adding the Micro and Nano to my treatments.

I have just started out and rent a room, as money is a little tight ;) and I don't have the room for a large mag lamp I actually use a craft lamp from Argos. I don't diagnose skin conditions etc but I use it to check for milia, abnormalities, problem areas etc before selecting the correct skin care product.

I will be looking to get a larger proper one as soon as the money starts to roll in x:lol:

Fozzyo, just checked out the mag lamp you mentioned on their website- looks fab! Couldn't see how much/when its available to buy though, do you have any more info? Really want a mini/hand held mag lamp as am starting a mobile facial service soon :-)

Hellooo!! Don't know if this helps anyone, but I was in hobby craft the other day and there having a sale - I never knew they sold mag lamps? Most of these are on sale too! Small & large ones!! Perfect for mobile or salon use I'd imagine? Anyway just thought I'd post this!! 😊

For the bt-zoom give the guys at Advanced Aesthetic Solutions in Cardiff a call (number on bottom of page here Bio-Therapeutic (http://www.bio-therapeutic.co.uk/)) they are the new UK distributors.

You can also get LED magnifiers from places like Maplin (Maplin Electronics (http://www.maplin.co.uk/productsearch?criteria=led+magnifier))
