Haha exactly! Actually had my head bitten off because I wasn't going to be there to do a nail paint. Oops. Working with the public is great sometimes ;-) xx

I have a caravan in Wales and since being self employed i only really go down there on holiday once maybe twice a year for a week at the most. i always get 'but it is your own caravan so surely you can go a different week, it's not as if you're losing any money???' but the fact i've told all my other clients i can't do that week and made sure my mum dad and sister are free that week dosn't matter? also i WANT to go THAT week!

Aren't we all just soo rude! Did you know you had a life outside of work? We work around their needs most of the year by starting early or finishing late because it's a special occasion so why can't we have a week or 2 away from them? I'm sure they wouldn't be happy going into work for 3 hours while they are meant to be on holiday but it's ok for us to.

It's just so selfish of us to want a break isn't it, and it's selfish if we're ill, we're selfish when we don't work 7 days a week 20 hours a day and selfish when we bloody die.
And then there's the lovley ones who when you say I'm on holiday x week so can't fit you in say "Oooh hope you have a great time you deserve it, when is best for you to fit me in?"

Xoxo

Have to say we found our clients very obliging and understanding, booked their appointment in advance of our hols and afterwards.

First holiday since salon opened, my eldest got married in Cyprus, our clients said we deserved a break and looked forward to seeing the photos.

Seriously cannot think of anyone having a moan about it, unless it was in secret lol
