I know there has been plenty of threads about this already but I thought I'd start my own..
I recently have opened my own home based salon, I have a small client base but I'm looking to expand more!
I need more ideas to promote and get clients in and to stay! I already have my own Facebook page which I update regularly, I have leaflet dropped a good few times, i have my own business cards, i often do offers etc.. Any more ideas?!

School fetes, charity functions are good to advertise and you to give some free treatments and get the clients in!

Hiya i qualified in level 3 beauty in december, i did 3 months renting a room then due to issues with the owner i decided to go home based.
I looked around what was on offer in the other salons in my area and decided to train in something not many other people did, my final choices were HD Brows or Derma Rolling. I decided to go for HD Brows just because of the publicity it has.
Im now doing really well I have lots of new clients who get HD's then have shellac and waxing etc.
I have other friends who qualified the same time as me and they've set up at home and are really struggling. I think you need to find your niche, find something that sets you out from the crowd. HD Brows may not be for you but find something that is and tell everyone you meet, do leaflet drops, stand in the city centre handing out flyers, do some treatments on people who deal with the public eg hairdressers, sales assistants and bar tenders then offer them a discount on future treatments for every client they refer.
