Hi geeks!
Would love to hear you opinion on this idea?
I am qualified in all beauty therapy gels & acrylic but to
be quite honest I hate doing them, and my education in my nails wasn't great! I'm going to book the shellac Brings them back class soon, and have bought the additives. I do have a gel and acrylic kit, but was thinking
of selling them to a girl I went to college with. Shellac & spray tanning are the 2 treatments I enjoy most and feel I am good at. At the moment I Can't afford any further education in nail enhancements.
Just wondering your opinions on just doing shellac & spray tans?
Most girls around her do wear enhancements but I was wanting to hit the middle age range anyway rather than young girls who just want cheep and though this may help me stand out from the crowd?

They are the only 2 treatments I do mobilly and am adding manis and pedis soon then hoping to do minx when I have the funds! It's a great idea! I do my business as a hobby and for some pocket money hoping to get enough clients to go part time at work :) x

Thanx for the reply! How do you market yourself? I'm trained in minx so maybe once Iv done a few shellac/spray tans I could add that! If you don't mind me asking what age range is your client base? Xx

I have a website and a yell.com advert which is great. Also a Facebook and twitter page! I haven't done any flyering as it doesn't seem to work. Verve designs and salon alchemy are great for logos/ websites! Altho they r on hols ATM :) um age range varies, I have early 20s all the way to mid 50s but spray tanning for the younger generation! X

Yeah, Thats what I thought :)
I have a website, fb page etc! Defiently thinking of doing just this! It makes me something diffrent from the rest aswell which I love!

I think it is a great path to go down, natural nails seem to be very popular now, I do gelish and trained with NSI, I am doing a course on kooky wraps in a few weeks too. I hope to add other bits and bobs too as I love nails :)
A lot of my clients have commented saying how they love that I do natural nails but of course you will always having clients asking if you can do enhancements too ;) xx

Same! Absolutely love making nails look pretty, I just hate creating them! I think I'll run with this! I'm also trained with airbase makeup, so am thinking of specialising in bridal makeup xx
I trained in enhancement's like you have, I have gone on to train in spray tanning and Gelish.
I no longer offer L&P and the only gel nails I do are on my sister. Mainly are Rockstar or gelish.
I will offer L&P again in the future but I am going to book myself on a conversion course with Nail Harmony to build my confidence back up on this system. I also want to add Kooky nail wraps too.

Thats exactly what I was thinking I would do, collect any money from shellac/spray tan and then go and do a conversion course, because I do think they are a big industry I just feel I need more training! :) xx

I get quite a few enquires about L&P, I always advised once I have completed a conversion course I will be offering these. xx
