Tanned face

When I tan myself my face never seems to go ask dark and the colour I do get fades after a day or two. I used demalogica moisturiser so switched to Simple, and started using my toddlers gentle E45 wash in the shower to see if that helped. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions please?

Don't have any recommendations but I'm the same! Tan only lasts 1 day on face :/ I am very pale tho x
