Hi all i have been sneaking around just reading for a while now and thought it was about time i posted!!

I am due to open a new salon (when i say salon its a tiny little room within a spa at a hotel, but its mine :D) i have trained with loreal mostly but am not convinced i want to go with them.

I have read alot of good reports on matrix and also joico. could people give me the pros and cons to the 3 above.

I have never used matrix is it easy to get to grips with? do those who use it also use there shampoos and products?

im not going to need a massive amount of stock as there is only me, but matrix and loreal are closely available joico i would have to get thru a rep.

also what product range do u use?

I use Schwarzkopf, but have used matrix in the past, the colours are really easy to get to grips with as it's all letters (n-neutral, g-gold, p-pearl) so its fairly simple to get to grips with. Iv used some of the products mainly sleek look range as the other products while in a matrix colour salon was tigi,
I can't comment on joico colours, but their shampoo's and conditioners are lush! As for loreal, they are going through a major change, a lot is being discontinued in favour of the new range, so I'll leave that one as iv not tried them although the colours that are being discontinued are lovley and the supreme have a great grey coverage (like dream age in matrix, but then again matrix is loreal)

I love the choice of colours from igora, that's why it's my main brand, but I'm slowly moving over to vitality's as they have a lovley shine and the same price with bigger tubes, which is also the same with matrix (tubes around the same price as loreal but are larger so more cost effective)
A lot of people are saying tigi colours are good, but again I'm yet to try, I will wait for more people to try and give reviews before I fork out for a colour chart or decide to abandon the other ranges and go to tigi xoxo

Where's your nearest warehouse hun? I'm guessing you will be using them to deliver the product when you need to re stock or you will go there to pick it up? See what ranges they sell then go and ask them about rep's they should know the local ones and pass their number on, you can then have meetings with them to discuss what you want and your expectations xoxo
