Help with bleaching

Hi all

I will be cutting and bleaching my friends hair tomorrow with some clippers and a short spikey hair cut. he wants to have higlhights with bleached spikes just on top of head.

I've not had much training with colouring as i will be doing this on my Barbering level 2 in september.

He also usually dyes his hair a dark brown level 3, and i will be using a product called Hi Tech lightening bleach with Hi Tech developer will the results be okay for doing this, he's not looking to go a pale white more a golden blonde.

I don't believe you can get a nice golden blond with just bleach. It will probably need a toner. Also, what is his natural color? These are things to consider. Hope this helps

Barbering and not hairdressing does this include any colouring?

We covered colour as part of my barbering, I did the diploma. If he had been colouring his hair then the bleach will probly leave him quite orange so it will definitely need Toning. Just depends what shade he likes, if it's just hi lites then it won't look to bad if he had to leave it a week before bleaching again and timing to get a nicer blonde x

He is quite naturally dark and uses the dye mainly to cover a bit of grey hair, he said he had coloured it s few weeks ago. Yes i will use a toner as well thanks.

On my Barber course it said it will have colouring plus how to do clipper pattern work, i think most of these units are usually covered on level 3 Barbering but this is a good college i'm attending.
