OK, so I know the best way to learn lashes is to attend a proper attending course, but it was just not possible for me, as there is only one place that does it here and they are very expensive. So, I signed up for the NaturaLash online course and started this morning. I have done 4 hours so far and have covered Objectives, Definitions, Pricing, Practice & Professionalism, Safety & Sanitation, Liability, Consultation, Client Education and Record Keeping. I have learnt loads!

I have just moved onto the 'Technique' part of the course which is more practical. I am just taking a break from picking up lashes with tweezers and moving them from a paper towel to a tissue to a sponge to a rubber mesh!

The course seems really good. There are quizzes all the way through, and if you don't score 100%, you have to go back and do it again. The videos are great, just like having a real person there. So far, I am really happy. I still think it is better to do a real person course, but thought I'd post just in case anyone else is in the same position as me, and can't get to a class.

I was thinking about doing a lash course and found they were also very expensive. Is your course a good price? And what do you learn to apply lashes to, do you need a model? X

It is $325 which is about 200 pounds (plus mannequin head & headset if you need them). The cost includes all the stuff you need to practice. It comes from the US, so you will need to add postage to that.

Here are the prices: eyelash extension training prices (http://www.naturalash.com/157.html)

I have been really happy with the course and the communication so far.

I finished the course last night and I am very happy with how much I have learnt. Now I just need to practice! I would highly recommend this course for anybody unable to get to a class.

I know you're in Dubai so it might be different there... but I'm doubtful that that course would enable you to get insurance in the UK...
Can't comment on how good it is for the practical learning (I have no problem with distance learning for theory, personally I pick theory up easier on my own using my own learning methods rather than in a class where I just end up feeling thick...) but ultimately it would be wasted money if you can't obtain insurance in the UK for it...

I don't know, Tinxy, but they bang on about insurance quite a lot in the course, so it is considered very important by them. You can def get insurance in the US and they are generally stricter than the UK.

Thanks for pointing this out though, I would hate for someone to waste their money if they couldn't get insurance.
