Hey

I normally frequent the skin geek board and have recently returned to salon work after a few years working in the sales side of beauty. I have just booked my Shellac course and i am mega excited!! I will be traning at the Fingertips centre in Edinburgh, just wanted to know how the training is and if you felt it was on of those treatments that you need to practice for a while before doing paying clients, or if you can get started right away.

Thanks in advance x

The training is superb, but how quickly you can get going depends on you.

If you are already an excellent manicurist then you will romp away from the start. If not, then I'd still get started right away and learn on the job with your clients.

Follow the CND protocols for Shellac, don't mess about with the system, don't give clients false expectations and enjoy yourself!

Hello, I'm actually new in here. I booked shellac course in fingertips edinburgh nail centre too for 17th of September. Can you guys tell me how it looks like actually? Do I need any model or have my natural nails? I'm excited but also worried a little coz my english is not fluent (I'm from Poland) and I'm afraid I may not understand everything well. Is it actually difficult course?
Thanks for any response.

All you need to do is phone them and ask your questions, or call in to the Fingertips Center. They are all the loveliest people and their largest aim is to help you with the information you seek. They are very well used to teaching and training people whose first language is not English. They are there to help you. Give them a call.

There is a shellac nail style course which covers rockstars, using glitter, foils, marbleing, crystals etc. It was a great day, I booked mine through S2, the fingertips centre may offer the same...very reasonably priced too. Good luck xx
