So I have my first treatment in my new beauty room tomorrow. The lady booked in via the receptionists and they said they gave her the prep info that is in the back of the sienna x loyalty cards and leaflets... This is the first tan ie done where I have not spoken to the lady directly myself and highlighted how important it is not to wear any moisturiser or makeup etc.... I'm now scared she will turn up with make up on or something! ! Scared! What's the best and easiest way to get around this? Any particular makeup wipes that wouldn't effect the tab or prep spritz

Might be best to keep some cleansing wipes handy, but explain to the client that you did ask her to come with out makeup. And that she might not get the best results because she didn't listen.
Bloody clients ha ha

hey hun u said that your using the sienna range did u get their exfoliating prep product if not simple cleansing wipes willl do as you will find the majority of clients will appear for spray tans with a full face of make up on just make sure she has followed all the advice on preperation before you start as part of the consultation process and ensure she has something loose to wear afterwards the amount of clients i have went to spray tan n they have skinny jeans n leggings to wear afterwards is unbelievable and make sure you give her the sienna aftercare card to take with her as well as explaining it all during her appointment happy tanning ;)

Yeah, and make sure she is not wearing any deodorant. In my experience, some clients lie about this (especially men). You will know because their underarms go green. Well, they do with Aviva anyway.

Good luck!

Thanks for your replies, really appreciate it! With regards to using cleansing wipes is there any particular brand that is best? Will the tan not react with the product of the cleansing wipes? Also how would you use the prep spritz, we were not told much about this product ... Just to use it to remove deodarent... Thanks geeks! X

Some clients tell little fibs and say they are not wearing make up, where as what they really mean is they are not wearing MUCH make up lol. Don't embarrass them by pointing it out and getting their back up. I always just talk through the whole tan saying things like.... Your tan doesn't last as long on the face if make up is worn and if you see a green armpit I always point this out as the last thing you want is the client coming back and saying your tan went green.they will always admit once they see he green armpit and then just write it on the record card and advise. Ext time not to do the same. They will realise the benefits by seeing the consequences!
Good luck with it and don't panic! We can't help people not listening to our advice. It we can explain the reasons why. ! X
