Hi ladies, I'm new here and I've been almost obsessively combing all lash threads. What a talented group there is here!
I do have a question: I have one client who, no matter what I have done differently, her lashes fall off almost immediately (within 3 days) and she is doing everything right in terms of aftercare. I do not use a "primer" and I'm wondering if she is a candidate. She is allergic to almost everything so I have to be very careful; I'm using a hypoallergenic adhesive but it isn't that because I've used it on others with no problem.
Any ideas?

When you say hypoallergenic, I am assuming you mean sensitive?
In my opinion, whenever I have used these types of glues, the lashes do fall off quicker than with a quick drying one, although not within 3 days.
Does she pick and /or fiddle with them (whether consciously or unconsciously-sleeping?) can you see signs?
Are you applying the correct length of lashes for her natural lashes to withhold?
Does she use oily mascara and /or make-up remover?
Do they itch and /or irritate her?

She says she doesn't pick and there are no broken lashes or irritation. I used no higher than 9 mm lashes (she just wanted them "darker") and she uses no oil based anything (allergies). I'm thinking (woefully) that she just may not be a good candidate. This has happened twice now. I'm afraid to use the faster drying adhesive on her because of her sensitivity.
I wonder though - do you use a primer, and are the primers caustic?

I dont use a primer myself, but if you did you would obviously have to check her sensitivity to it.
Also, she may be fine with the stronger glue - test it and see.
Maybe, she has oily lashes. What's her hair and nails like? - Just an idea.
If she just wants them darker and you have only used a 9mm which is quite short, can you not just tint them if all else fails? x

You have been an angel. I just got off the phone with her and I think she's pulling them in her sleep. She said she messes with her bite guard and finds the lashes on her face cloth in the morning. I think this is the answer! :)
Going to tint.
Thank you for your quick responses! <3
