How often should you have a facial?

My textbook said once a month, as the skin naturally renews itself once a month. But then i told the examiner once a month in my exam, she looked at me a bit funny.

So now i don't know... there's a lot of conflicting info, and now i don't know what to tell clients.

Depending in the facial, but I.usually advise monthly, leaving no more than 6 wks to get most from treatment x

It really depends, if a client is having a course of facials for corrective purposes (such as to balance problem skin or a series of AHA micro-peels) then they may be 1 or more a week for a course of 6 to 8 treatments, then monthly maintenance.
