Level 2 is seen as a very basic level, this will be why you didn't 'learn much' in your eyes.
However the hair industry is what you make it, you learn every day in this industry... Sounds like you've given up that?
There are books/DVDs/The hair journal magazine/etc. these are all things you can use to expand your knowledge, once you know the basics the rest is up to you.
Also you wouldn't of learnt colour correction this is a level 3 skill :)
The college I trained at had very high standards for getting on to level 3, out of 140 of us who applied, only 25 got through. I was so lucky. Although it doesn't sound like you have been as lucky
But don't give up, ask around salons about doing level 3 in a salon. Also use my tips above for expanding your knowledge because this could be what you of you decide to re apply next year
Thanks do much for your reply I'm so grateful it is getting me down but I will have a look into ur suggestions

do you work in a salon on the moment? Have you got a BL hairdressing where you are its an apprecticship scheme so u need to be in a salon but sometimes they have salons needing learners
good luck and dont give up :) i agree build up your knowledge as much as you can your self by looking on here, magazines, the net anywhere
No there isn't bL hairdressing here where I live well I don't think so anyway no I don't work in a salon I have tried loads but they only want school leaves and I'm 33
I do find it hard as I feel there's no help or chance to further my self maybe I might get on next year but im not holding my hopes up as they tend to be full before the course starts
Thanks for replying to my mesage

Anyone else any ideas
I've just answered in the other level 3 thread, but sadly I think you're applying too late in the year. :( Hairdressing and beauty courses are always booked up really early in the year.
Although you may get onto a wait-list and people do drop out. I hope you manage to get something sorted.
I have asked to enrol earlier and they won't let me they say you have to wait witch I did and now I carnt i have also been put on waiting lists last year and nothing it's a joke

Ok
In my area - there are 3 colleges that are within same distance. Do you have the same in your area? I applied to all 3 and then waited to see what offers came in. But it was early in the year. As you said, you've been trying since Easter time. It's a pity that the colleges aren't taking your application seriously.
Have you applied to more than one college?
Are there more colleges that you can consider?
Are they easy to get to?
I would recommend, that you call up the head of Department of each college, and explain your situation.
Try and get a face-to-face appointments to see the head of hairdressing and say you want to speak to them about their course.
Don't be disheartened, you will get there in the end.
