Hey guys and gals!!!!

Me and my boyfriend are planning a holiday for the 1st week in september and thinking we'd l,ike to go to greece but I'm not too sure where we'd like to go, so please can someone help me out with some recomendations (sp) on where to go?
We're looking for something not too comercialised but with a far few tavernas, activities etc to keep us entertained. I've never booked a hol before as I've always bin with my mum and dad so I don't want to just fly out with no accom as my dad keeps suggesting!!!
(he told me this story today of when he used to go travelling to greece there was a blind goat on the beach he used to sleep on, that used to walk all over you. him and his friends used to aim it at people and watch it trample all over other groups!!! I thought it was quite amusing when he told me! lol)
anyway, any help would be great!!!!

Corfu is great I go to The Telesilla Hotel in Kontokali which is just north of Corfu town, I have been 6 years on the trot it is so great...have look at their website www.hoteltelesilla.com (http://www.hoteltelesilla.com), very reasonable prices too.

I went to Kos in 2004 stayed at Aegean Village hotel - that was beautiful, and then this year i went to Rhodes and stayed at Doreta Beach Hotel - all inclusive so lots of cocktails!!!!

Have a look on teletext holidays - i've definately seen Aegean Village hotel advertised on there and the price was pretty good!

Rhodes is gorgeous but steer well clear of Felaraki unless you are 17 and you want to get so hammered you pass out!
Old Rhodes town is stunning and a place called lindos and go up to the Acropolis, it is all lit up at night and I can't tell you how beautiful it is. I went there about 7 years ago.

Of course I would recommend my own island of Samos, but if you want a real Greek holiday that samples the "real" Greece - away from the English Breakfast, non stop partying, eat burgers, meet only English, snog the waiter type of holiday then you need look no further than "Laskarina Holidays" http://www.laskarina.co.uk/

Dont worry - I dont work for them in between nails, its just that they are the top operator here and on many of the smaller islands. They have been voted the best independant operator to Greece for many years. None of the reps are on commision, and will not "sell" you anything, but will be there to help if needed.

If you need more help, just PM me!

Its 40+ here right now, so dont forget the spf and the itzy bitzy yellow polka dot bikini..............

Sending some e-sunshine to all the geeks.

When we went to Rhodes in May - we went to Falaraki and it was totally dead! But it was in the daytime, so perhaps everyone was hungover and asleep!!!

Sounds fab I love Greece! Bet you can't wait!! Only been there once, we went to Fourka in Halkidiki, bit too quiet of a resort for us in the end, but the weather was gorg the whole time so made up for it...shame my little boy who was 14 months at the time didn't care much for the beach - was too damn hot! This year we're off to Spain instead, funny really cos we got air con in this one but didn't at Greece - we suffered!!

Hi,
Greece is the place inviting everyone with open arms. It reminds people about the greatness of life with the rolling hills, white washed houses and the Mediterranean Sea.Its a lovely place all the beaches are amazing to visit you can enjoy a lot there. These include memorable boat trips, water sports for the adventurous and for those just wanting the tranquil atmosphere of tiny peaceful fishing villages.

I got married on the island of Santorini, very beautiful scenery, the caldera there (similar to a volcano) is supposed to be the lost city of Atlantis  but a gorgeous getaway.
