View Full Version : First Attempt On Acrylic Paint...
well.... went and got the right paints, got the right brushes, etc... and when i started painting petals (i was practicing on "one stroke" technique) i would have never guessed that it was going to be so hard!!! i managed some round petals correctly, but the impossible was the small rose bud! those who know its the simple "c" stroke...... argggghhhh!
could someone please help me? i need some basic pointers like... how to load the brush, how to hold the brush (angles) when wanting to do differnt kinds of petals, etc...
looking really forward to tour reply dears ! :) thnx in advance

I do alot of tole painting (wood), and if you go to your local craft store, look for a book called "Donna Dewberry's One Stroke Painting" you will find how to make all sorts of neat things. I buy mine at Michael's craft stores here in Canada. You can also order them on line. It will show you how to make leaves in 2 colors, flower petals, roses, etc.
Hope this helps.

Victoria, do you not have a Micheal's craft store nearby, or Crafts Canada?
I know the one I'm closest to, carries them, if you can't find one, let me know, and I'll check here for you, and if you want I can mail it to you.
