Hi Everyone,

I know I haven't been on here in a while so probably don't even deserve an answer to this thread but everything is getting on top of me and I've felt rather lost without you guys, had no idea how much we all depended on each other in stressful times. I'm up to my elbows in admin but getting there slowly ... above all this ...

Inland revenue have not returned any of my messages, last month I was trying to pay my employers tax and for some reason (which has never happened before) their BACS details that I had on my online banking was incorrect. I have phoned hundreds of times and got nothing but an engaged signal. I contacted my bank and they told me to phone inland revenue and double check the details. Why would they change half way through the year? They wouldn't would they? The month before my payments went through fine and the month before that and the month before that!

I am very worried now as I have just moved house the last two weeks and slowly getting my new office in a good working order and I can only do so much in a day. I even emailed them, they replied two days later saying, can they have number to contact me on but I already have an automated signature at the end of every email. I am really upset about this, I'm a good payer and they are mucking me around

Please someone help?

Hi sweet,

Thanks for the reply

I have paid them too much but by only £70.00 which I deducted from my last amount as they said I should do. I even tried re-entering their details a number of times and still nothing.

Who do I phone? The employers helpline or the actual office in shipley I'm trying to pay?

Hi rose, welcome back, I gave up on phoning the I.R a long time ago! fortunately our local tax office isn't too far away so i make an appt and speak to someone face to face. Maybe it's worth finding out where your local office is? HTH xxxx:lol:

ACtually thats not a bad idea go to the local office and they can give you all the details, they did for me when i went down there last time, also because theya hve an internal system they will be able to tell you what is what.

if you want to ring try the shipley ofice who deals with your bits and bobs

Thanks guys for your replies but I don't have any available time to get to them myself I am jammed with appts. This is why I handle this type of thing over the phone and internet. I've had to take clients this last sunday, for appts as I can't this whole week. Not that I enjoyed it but that's how busy I am.

Can the Employers help line help me at all do you think? The shipley branch is the one I keep ringing that gives a busy tone.
