they are great!!!
i was sooo busy with these recently
advised all my clients that they are basically a long lasting french polish,
ie, not an enhancement with strength,

5 weeks ago today i did one lady, who came back today, with hers still perfect! i couldnt believe my eyes!!
of course they were so outgrown, but intact, no chipping atall
im so impressed, a lot of her work mates had theirs done after hers and she reported tonight, that theirs are all the same perfect!!

what an add on to my service menu, so quick and easy
how many of you do these?

Are these on toes or fingers? I do the Brisa toes very successfully but I have had problems with a French manicure (similar to what I do on toes on the fingers) with cracking and lifting almost immediately.

I would appreciate your procedure on how you apply your Brisa FM if you don't mind Nik?

these are on fingers jen,

i do usual prep
then liquid bond
then pow cure for 2 mins
then thin layer of gel, scrubbed in cure for two mins
then another thin layer of gel like polish thin, just to even nail plate out cure for two mins
then top gloss cure for two mins
remember to cap all free edges
thats it!!
i havent built any apex or stress area or anything in them,
i tell them its basically a polish that will last!!

your welcome jen,
how were you doing it then , any different from us?

Looking at both your methods.. they both sound very much like doing a full set of gel enhancements but just omitting the apex building? Does it take as long? How much do you charge in comparison to a set of gel enhancements?

I am going to have a go on my nails... be back later .. thanks girls x

I was only doing one layer of build... pow edge, then top coat. So missing a layer of clear. But I think I mustn't be getting the capping right as they are peeling away and cracking.

Mine have all done exactly the same Jen, not for want of trying! Perhaps I'll try the POW first and then the bonder layer as Lotus suggests....I always did bonder then PoW.

ohh errr, i didnt realise that that was the way,
i just have always done the pow first on the bare nail, as i thought the more layers its capped with it wont chip off,
should i be doing it after a thin , scrubbed in layer then?
i do it that way when i do a full set of gel enhancements though

i always find on the bare nail i dont have to tidy up my smiles atall just lock them for 10 secs
but when the pow is on the layer of gel it tends to need a little swipe

TBH I just assumed that bonder layer always came first....but if this works for you I'll giveit a try and see if I get better results....won't take much lol!

thats odd cause when i do liquid bond then pow i find it bleads
/runs so i like to anchor it to a thin layer of clear or pink instead !

Yes your defo right encasing the pow under as many layers as poss.

I spose whichever way you find works !

I find some peeps get on fine with a file off gel as a nno, and some simply dont so i do calgel....which is more flexable

How is Calgel for sculpting Amber? I am pants at sculpting with gel and really want to learn so I am thinking of getting Calgel at the show this Sunday predominantly for nno's and learning to sculpt properly.

well i find it nice and easy. It is a 'runny' gel so a bit tricky to build an apex as long as you do one nail at a time your fine.

Its a fab product i have more peeps on calgel than any other gel i use.

Files down well, good range of colours, good customer service.

Well I have done myself a set ... I chickened out putting the pow straight onto the bond and did a base coat first. They look quite nice and neat now so we will see how they go. I have made a very determined effort on capping and keeping the product nice and pressed/bedded onto the nail and see if I have done a better job... :)

Thanks for your help everyone

How are they lasting Jen? xx

Ah well.. a week + 1 day on and they are looking pretty darn good actually. I am quite amazed with them. I have absolutely no lifting on my left hand and a tiny bit of lift on one finger on my right hand (due to my poor application I am sure).

They were not picked up at college yesterday so they must look pretty natural (which was the idea lol!) so I am chuffed as meat balls to be honest. I think it will be a treat to myself now as my nails look so nice. With no enhancements on (due to college I have had naked finger nails for the past 6 months) my nails were looking a bit worse for wear and not a good advertisement for my business.....

The only downer I have with them today is, last night I had to do 10 spray tans and I hate wearing protective gloves and they are a little stained today on one or two nails. Not too noticable (but my 3 year old asked why my thumb is yellow! so perhaps they are lol!)

I can see free edge growing under the slither of soft white free edge so I might even rebalance this weekend to see if I can get them looking 100% again.

But over all I am very VERY chuffed. Thanks for the advice on how to do them ...

Hi
I have just joined today I am needing help. I have not been doing nails for very long and need help getting to grip with the world of nails please. I trained with NSI and am limping along and I feel I am a bit in the dark and trying to find my way! I would say my nails are ok could be a milion times better and I so want to improve and do a fab job. I feel my client's nails lift after around two weeks and they do not look very nice whenthey start to grow out....

I had my nails done recently and they are really lovely, they were done by a gitl who trained in the USA. The are very very thin and extremely long lasting, no lifting or drying and when they are growing out they still look great. The girl used a electric drill, no files at all andt he nails look so good and lasted. She said they used Gel Powder. I do not know what this is and I have asked a few peple but no one seems to know. I want my nailds to look as good as this girl does. Should I do an electric dril course and what is gel powder. I only do acrylic Nails. any help would be appreciated please.

Hi Lunula
I do use Tantrick and I love it. I am also a trainer for Tantrick and the techs who have trained with me also love the ease of application and results that they get from this fab product. I have lots of regular repeat clients who love it also. If you do a search on here for Tantrick you will find lots and lots of very positive comments on Tantrick.

I see you are only in Brighouse.. you could always pop over and get a sample tan :)
