Hi Caroline,

ARE you talking about the tan or the nail art. I use both, still practising on the nail art thought so cant really comment. As for the tan, been doing it for 3 months now and the response i have had has been very good with repeat clients plus clients that have been recommended nby friends.
some clients have said the bronze is to light for them and others have said it is a lovely bronze/golden colour, they do offer a dark tanning solution which i like, but it is quite dark, great for the summer months though.
They say it lasts between 5-10 days, and to be toatlay honest with you I have to say this is true. Although you may want to top up after 4 days to gave a deeper tan...i do this with the bronze and the tan is beautiful.
As with any tan you need to moisturise to maintain it, and with proper aftercare advice it should last.
it takes me 10/15 mins to do a full body using one 3/4 to 1 full feeder bottle, i use the airbrush and have had no probs....
Need to have ventilation, although there isnt much overspray.

HTH

Hey Up Caroline,

I Use The Su-do Tanning And Think It Is Great Not Had Any Complaints And Have Regulars Come Every Week To Top Up. Also Use Both Bronze And Dark Liquid. Seems To Last Anywhere From 6 - 10 Days Depending On Life Style Of Whose Wearing It!!!!. I Think They Have Also Just Brought Out Their Own Range Of Skin Exfoliator Etc Too.

I was Su-do tanned on Saturday by Angela at the bEAUTY Spot in my local town and she did a wonderful job. She has told me to go back for another dose in 3 days time. I was once St Tropezed and looked like an Umpa Lumpa but maybe that was the person who applied it.... anyway, I have always be concerned about this airbrush tanning lark but I think if you have someone who obviously knows what they are doing... then it can look great!! One more thing... the Su-do tanning spray smelled lovely too!

I really like the Norvel solution, its a very nice natural colour, i find it nicer than any other solutions i have ever tried, and beleive me i have tried em all and you dont need to have a top up after a couple of days, it last anything between 5 -10 days......I didnt like su do as i found it too orangey like St Tropez..........................but like Samantha says if you are trained correctly it will go on nice, just be carefull of the overall colours as some are proper umpa lumpa material.

I use su-do in the salon and have since I did my training with su-do. I have never had a problem with the colour on clients but (isnt there always a but?) every time I spray my sister she gets a definite orange tinge. Not sure why coz it works fine on me and all my other clients.

Picked up a sample of whitetobrown from Excel and have to say have got excellent results. My sister no longer looks like she's been tango'd and the colour is slightly darker than su-do, smells lovely too. Once my su-do stock has run low enough I may well invest in this product instead. They come in 2 strengths - 8.5% & 10% so it is possible to go even darker.

Hi

I can only comment on su-do as this is what i have trained with...
they offer two shades, bronze and dark.
Bronze being for all skin tones and dark being for those who tan easily or have a base tan already...
I have some clients who have olive tones and prefer the bronze and those that are fair that prefer the dark. Although Su-do state that because the dark has a hight DHA content is is mainly suitable for those that tan easily.

DHA is dihydroxyacetone

All effective sunless tanners contain DHA. It is a colourless 3-carbon sugar that when applied to the skin causes a chemical reaction with amino acids in the surface cells of the skin producing a darkening effect DHA does not damage skin as it only affects the outermost cells of the epidermis (stratum corneum).

What formulations of DHA are available?
There are many self-tanning preparations containing DHA on the market and many will claim to be best formulation available. Consider the following points when deciding upon the preparation most suitable for you.

•Concentrations of DHA can range from 2.5 to 10% or more (mostly 3-9%). This may coincide with product ranges that list shades as light, medium, or dark. A lower concentration (lighter shade) product may be better for new users as it is more forgiving of uneven application or rough surfaces.
